The Open Space Alliance is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to promote public awareness and conservation of Open Space lands, and to educate the public about the natural, historic, cultural, educational, and recreational aspects of Open Space areas.

Join the Open Space Visitor Center for this joyous event as we host Albuquerque’s calligraphy society Escribiente and local poets in a celebration of art, nature and poetry, with a special musical performance by Albuquerque’s own Dog Star. Bring a picnic and spend a day with some of New Mexico’s most talented poets and calligraphers in a stunning outdoor setting!

This is your last chance to explore our exhibit of majestic mosaics and purchase artwork from these talented artists. Many of the artists will be on hand during the closing event to answer questions about the mosaic process, and to talk about what inspires them.

Qigong is a gentle martial art that provides mental clarity, loosens the muscles and builds power, strengthens the organs, improves cardio-pulmonary function, strengthens the nerves, improves vascular function, helps to prevent injury to joints, ligaments and bones, eases stress and balances emotions; and builds athletic and martial arts power.

Qigong exercises are safe for all ages.  

Instructor: Marcy Pincus. Class fee is a suggested $5.00 donation. A portion benefits the Open Space Alliance.
