Welcome to the Open Space Alliance
The Open Space Alliance is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to promote public awareness and conservation of Open Space lands, and to educate the public about the natural, historic, cultural, educational, and recreational aspects of Open Space areas.
Vision: Residents and visitors will understand and value Albuquerque’s Open Space Program, and recognize the Open Space Alliance as an avenue for stewardship and engagement.
Mission: OSA will enhance the experiences of all users of Albuquerque Open Space lands by providing financial support for Open Space programs; by advocating for sustainability and expansion of Open Space programs; and by encouraging increased public involvement with and use of Open Space lands.

Permaculture experts Cameron Weber and Peter Callen guide a discussion on the wild and edible plants appropriate for fall planting in your garden. An emphasis will be given on cover cropping for fall and winter. This is a hands-on workshop that will take place both indoors and outdoors.

Explore the mysteries of Chinese Qigong in a beautiful setting with instructor Marcy Pincus. Cloud Hands is a one movement posture that incorporates many of the benefits of Tai Chi.

Kiddos and their families are invited to come dressed in your Halloween best and learn about the not-so-spooky critters of the Rio Grande’s bosque ecosystem. Participants will
receive a “passport” to be stamped while exploring the Visitor Center and meeting volunteers dressed as local plants and animals from the bosque. The passport can then be turned in for a special prize!
This interactive event is fun for the whole family and includes “Boosque”-themed arts and crafts, snacks, and more!
