Kick off National Pollinator Week 2017 (June 19th-25th) with this event for all ages. Join the Open Space Visitor Center and Bee City USA for an event featuring a permaculture workshop and planting with La Orilla Farms, storytelling for all ages with Regina Ress and others from Storytellers of New Mexico, and live music with Bébé La La.

Other ongoing activities include beekeeping displays and activities; honey tasting, arts and crafts, the installation of a Bee Hotel, educational booths, crafts for kids, and pollinator-themed art exhibits.

Marcy Pincus, Energy Arts Certified Instructor, leads each one-hour Qigong class.

Dragon and Tiger Medical Qigong (1:00pm – 2:00pm) is useful to help ease the pain of chronic illness. Improve health and energy in seven simple movements.

Marriage of Earth and Heaven Qigong (2:15pm – 3:15pm) is used in China to help heal neck, back, spine and joint problems. It is especially effective for helping to mitigate repetitive stress injury.

Class fee is a suggested $5.00 donation per class. A portion benefits the Open Space Alliance.
