Circling Hands qigong: this is a qigong set where you stand in place doing a circle both with the hands and the body. The movements are designed to move fluids and Qi in the body which can help with the effects of aging and energizes the body.

Instructor: Marcy Pincus. Class fee is a suggested $5.00 donation. A portion benefits the Open Space Alliance.

The Red Light Cameras continues this year’s Full Moon Concert series at the Visitor Center with a night of “blues-infused garage pop.” Wear your dancing shoes and get ready for this high-energy band, straight outta ‘Burque!

Bring your own lawn chair, picnic blanket, and feast or grab a bite from a fabulous local food truck. There’s fun for the whole family.

Dara Saville from Albuquerque Herbalism presents a workshop on the common medicinal and herbal plants of the Albuquerque area. After the class, participants can explore the Visitor Center’s gardens and many of these plants first-hand.

Presented by the New Mexico Potters and Clay Artists, this demonstration will cover the essentials of hand-built and wheel-thrown clay pieces. The demonstration is in conjunction with the Resonations in Clay—Life on the Bosque Exhibit, running through September 30.

Explore the world of encaustic painting (painting with wax and pigments) with this introductory workshop. Artist Lynette Rizek will also demonstrate how to incorporate recycled materials into the paintings.
