Visitor Center
Discover the Open Space Visitor Center, tucked away on 55 acres overlooking wildlife crop fields, the Rio Grande Bosque and the Sandia Mountains. The views to the east are a treat not to be missed. During the winter months, the fields attract hundreds of Sandhill Cranes that graze on seeds, roots, bugs, snails and small animals. The Visitor Center is located on the site of a renovated home. The award winning architectural design of the Visitor Center is reason enough to visit.
The Open Space Alliance is proud to be a funding partner for the Open Space Visitor Center. We are committed to maintaining and bolstering the Open Space Visitor Center for families, schools, and visitors to learn more about the rich biodiversity that can be found in our open spaces in the Albuquerque area.
